  Chad & I painted the baby's room today. It's supposed to be a seafoam green, but it looks like more of a blue. I think the color will still be ok if Baby Thompson turns out to be a girl.

  Chad & I went to Home Depot yesterday to look at possible colors for the baby's room. We knew we needed to look at neutral colors 'cause we will wait to find out if the baby is a boy or girl. And initially, we thought maybe a pale yellow. But then we saw a "Finding Nemo" lamp and thought "perfect"! I love that movie and an ocean theme is not too boy-ish or girl-ish. We also picked out a light, aqua-colored paint for the walls in the baby's room. And if the baby is a girl, we can add some "Littl Mermaid" stuff in there, too! :)

  10:15 am - "12 week" doctor's appointment - Chad & I got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time! Dr. Kaminskas said that meant we are officially past the "risky" period. WOO HOO!!!! Time to spread the exciting news! We also got to see the baby for the first time via an ultrasound! "He" is 9 weeks old!
